‘Your Voice’ is an online platform used to engage with Orbit’s customers. It gives customers the opportunity to provide feedback on their experiences and make recommendations for improvement on things that matter to them and their community.
‘Your Voice’ has recently introduced an online programme which allows Orbit’s customers to take part in the inspections of empty properties remotely from the comfort of their own homes.
Supporting Orbit’s re-let standards, the new virtual ‘homes inspection’ process involves filming the property and uploading the content to ‘Your Voice’. Customers can watch the virtual inspection of the empty home and answer a selection of questions via the survey function built into the engagement platform. Once complete, the information is passed back to the relevant business area to action.
Charley Oulton, Customer Engagement Manager at Orbit, said: “Putting customers at the heart of what we do is key at Orbit, so I am delighted that our customer engagement platform ‘Your Voice’ has won the Delegates Choice award at the National Housing Maintenance Forum Conference Awards. Now, more than ever, ‘Your Voice’ is playing a crucial role in allowing us to stay in touch with our customers and understand what is important to them.
“Introducing the new virtual ‘homes inspection’ programme on ‘Your Voice’ provides our customers with the opportunity to take part in as many inspections as they wish to get involved in, across any area or location, at a time which suits them, ensuring that our empty properties are fit for purpose and ready for our new customers to move into. This is just one of the ways that we’re listening to our and involving customers in key decisions.”
The winning announcement was made at the virtual award ceremony on Thursday 28 January 2021.
