Preloved
Buying second-hand gifts can save you money whilst also helping the planet. There are plenty of websites that sell second-hand items in good condition for a discounted price, such as Preloved and Gumtree, as well as places like Facebook Marketplace.
Smaller gifts
Check out the charity and pound shops. By putting together a few less expensive items (such as colouring books, crayons, and craft items for example), you can create a more substantial gift for less. You can also find inexpensive gifts at these stores for those on your list who like gardening, DIY spa treatments or cooking.
Black Friday and Cyber-Monday
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great days to mark in the calendar if you've got Christmas gifts to stock-up on.
It saves you a last-minute dash around the shops and means you’ll be able to save some extra money on those must-haves on your Christmas list. Just create your Christmas wish list and then on Black Friday and Cyber Monday grab those pieces for less!
Don’t forget to always remember Martin Lewis’ tip: “Before you spend, ask yourself, do I need it? Can I afford it? If the answer is no to any of those questions, DON’T buy it. Remember, it's not a saving if you weren't going to buy it anyway.”
