We want everyone to live in a community that’s safe, tidy and free from bulky waste. We appreciate that fly tipping is an issue at Walsgrave Gardens, and we’ve been arranging for regular collections of items by our partners that have been left on your estate.
We encourage all customers to dispose of their bulky waste responsibly and we’ll be putting up posters to remind all customers of this. You can find information on some of the best ways to get rid of bulky waste and what to do if you see someone dumping items illegally here at our good neighbour webpage: orbitcustomerhub.org.uk/good-neighbour/.
We don’t own all of the garages at Walsgrave Gardens; however we’ve now cleared all the garages we’ve been able to access and have repaired garage doors to prevent unauthorised access. Please continue to report any further issues to us so that we can continue to monitor and manage any garage issues.
The graffiti has now been removed and your Property Manager will continue to monitor this as part of our regular inspections. Please tell us if you spot anything in the meantime, your on-the-ground observations will help us tackle any issues that arise.
We’ve checked the CCTV cameras and can confirm they are all working.
We’ve visited at dawn to establish which lights are working and which are not. Our partners, Fortem, made the necessary repairs at the time.
We’ve cut back the planters and are exploring options for longer-term solutions to improve the landscaping. We’ll replant the current planters in the spring as this is the right time of the year to allow the plants to grow and flourish.
In the meantime, we’ve met with your Grounds Maintenance provider (Newmans) and highlighted areas that are overgrown or require weed removal. We apologise that your grounds maintenance service has not been operating to the standards that it should have been. You will now be able to see improvements across Walsgrave Gardens, and we will continue to closely monitor the performance of our contractor to make sure that this remains the case, and your service improves.
Our property maintenance partner Hankinsons carried out external painting and cleaning works at the end of 2024.
In addition, they:
All meter boxes have now been closed and repaired. We’ll monitor their condition and make sure they are kept closed as part of our ongoing inspections. We ask you to do the same and please let us know if you spot any damage.
All drains in immediate need of clearance and repair have been mended and cleared.
We'll continue to maintain the drains while we look into the possibility of replacing the drainage system as part of our longer-term plan for Walsgrave Gardens. So that we can explore this option further, we’ll be carrying out a CCTV survey of the drainage system plus a full flush through.
We should all be able to feel safe and happy in our homes and communities. Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is any ongoing and persistent, nuisance or criminal behaviour which causes distress to others.
If you are experiencing ASB and you haven’t been able to resolve the situation by talking to the other party, or you don’t feel safe to do so, you should contact us for help and advice.
We take a multi-agency approach to dealing with your case, working closely alongside the Police, your Local Authority and other agencies.
Call us on 0800 678 1221 (press option 1 and then option 5) or complete our online ASB reporting form orbitcustomerhub.org.uk/asb/
