  • Our employment support service is designed to assist you to reach your potential. This service can be carried out at your home, over the telephone or from a mutually convenient place.

     

    Assistance available includes, but is not limited to:

    • Job searching/applications - Need support finding the right job for you?
    • Apprenticeships - Would you like to earn whilst you learn?
    • Voluntary work/ work Experience -Are you thinking about work but not quite ready?

    The package includes:

     

    • Building confidence and self-esteem
    • FREE two day course delivered by an experience trainer
    • FREE lunch and refreshments during the course
    • Help with costs such as transport and childcare
    • Includes follow up sessions with your dedicated GRIT coach. A GRIT coach can give up to six hours of 1-2-1 support to help the customers achieve their goals.

  • Orbit’s employment and skills team helped Daniel to overcome a lack of confidence and social isolation by joining the local Art Society. Creating paintings alongside fellow artists has boosted Daniel’s confidence and enabled him to be much more connected in his community.

    Richard Soffe - Sussex and Surrey

    I have eight years’ experience in helping people into work, training and volunteering on various Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) contracts, previous to that I was a mortgage advisor for 8 years. In my area I offer one-to-one support to help people move into paid employment, volunteering and or training. I have access to Orbit grants, which can be used to help our customers move forward and overcome their barriers to getting back into work. A job club is also run in Hastings on Monday mornings. Happy to have informal chats to discuss how I can help.

    I studied education, and have experience of working with people on an individual or group basis to support them into employment. I meet my clients one-on-one in order to get to know them and how I can support them best to achieve their goals.

     

    Jocelyn Garner - East Midlands including Rugby, Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and Bedford

    I’ve been an employment adviser for seven years and have experience in providing advice and guidance relating to CVs, job searching, interviews and starting a new job. Currently in the area we have projects relating to health and wellbeing and money management, as well as projects for young people and lots of other ways to get involved!

    I previously worked with NEETs in welfare to work. Projects in my area include Wheels to Work, Work experience, Mock Interviews and techniques, Volunteering roles, Wellbeing services, Befriending services.

     

    Pally Samra - Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Burton, Leamington Spa and Warwick

    I have been with Orbit since June 2016 and for the previous seven and a half years I worked as an employability coach, employer engagement officer and employment advisor. I enjoy helping people who want the assistance. There are various projects in my area such as Jump start, Positive pathways, Way Ahead, Mental Health Befriending plus many many more.     Love London Working provides training and employment advice to overcome the barriers to getting into and staying in work. The Love London Working team will support you all the way from offering training opportunities to financial support through to developing key skills like IT and work related training.

     

    We also offer individual support with:

    •writing CVs an cover letters
    •interview skills and practice.

     

    No matter how long you’ve been out of a job or what barriers to work you may be facing, such as health, disability or single parenthood, our team can assist you.
