Rent a home
If you are looking to rent a home across the Midlands, East, South East and parts of London, we are here to help. We have a selection of homes to rent with something to suit everyone, including Retirement and Supported housing.
How to apply for a housing association home
We advertise our available social and affordable homes for rent via local councils, so if you want to find a home you should get in touch directly with them to apply and register to becoming part of its housing waiting list.
Many councils use choice-based lettings schemes, although some accept direct applications for housing. If you want to find out more information about council lettings Shelter features key information on its website.
Next steps
If you are successful shortlisted or nominated for one of our properties through your local councils' scheme, we will be in touch with you to talk about next steps and our application process which you will be able to complete via our online digital lettings service.
If you are offered one of our properties, before signing your tenancy agreement we’ll ask you to pay at least one week's rent. We will discuss this with you as part of our assessment process.
Mutual Exchange
If you are eligible, fit our criteria and are looking to move, you may be able to swap your home with another customer through our Mutual Exchange process. We offer this service, free of charge to our customers, through the HomeSwapper website.
If you are successful with your Mutual Exchange application for a property you will be asked to pay at least one full week's rent by debit or credit card before signing the paperwork. This applies regardless of employment or benefit status.
Fair housing and equal opportunities policy
We always make sure that everyone has access to our homes and services and is treated equally. For more information, you can review our lettings of home policy.
