    Orbit customers can apply for FREE digital skills support delivered by our partner 'We Are Digital'. The At Home Support service is tailored for Orbit customers who find it difficult to get local digital courses and training.


    Doing more online can be a great way of being more independent:

    • keeping in touch with friends and family through Skype and Facebook
    • communicating with public services and organisations (including Orbit)
    • ordering groceries online and having them delivered to your door.

    We can arrange for an experienced tutor to visit you at home. They can help you develop your online skills including using emails, online shopping, using social media and staying safe.

    BT Basic is a low-cost tariff available to customers on limited incomes and receiving certain benefits. BT Basic can help reduce your bill to around £5 per month. You can also add on a broadband package for the equivalent of £4.95 per month.

  • In today's digital age most of us have access to the internet whether it’s through our phone, laptop, computer or tablet. Unfortunately, there are things that can sometimes go wrong so it’s really important that we keep ourselves and our loved ones safe online.

    • It is vital to have a good antivirus software, to keep it up-to- date and to run virus scans frequently
    • Use a firewall
    • Keep your Wi-Fi network secure with strong password protection.
    • Do not click on questionable links
    • Do not download potentially dangerous files or programs.
